A week after the 2016 elections, Google and Facebook have announced they are going to crack down on fake news within their advertising networks.
This past election, Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube and others were all full of fake news (as you may have seen).

Google’s updated policy says they will try to ban websites that “misrepresent, misstate, or concel information” and websites who don’t comply will be banned from using Google AdSense.
Facebook has stated a similar stance and they will ban websites form using their Facebook Audience Network.
