LinkedIn announced on their blog Tuesday that they have invited 500 influencers on their network to test out a new 30-second video feature. Some of the influencers they mentioned in their article include Naomi Simson, Guy Kawasaki, KIPP co-Founder Mike Feinberg, edX CEO Anant Agarwal, Reid Hoffman, Leila Janah, and Tomasz Tunguz
When an influencer that you follow posts a video, that video will appear in your news feed with commenting and sharing capabilities.
With video already adopted by most other social media channels, LinkedIn decided to jump into the fray and test it out for themselves. It’ll be interesting to see users react to the videos and once this is opened up to all users, we’ll see how well it is utilized.
