Martha van Berkel

In 2011, Mark van Berkel established Hunch Manifest, a company dedicated to leveraging semantic technology in product development. At that time, there were only a handful of individuals well-versed in both semantic technology and SEO, and Mark happened to be one of them. Inspired by his vision, Martha van Berkel made the bold decision to leave her 14-year corporate career at Cisco and embark on the entrepreneurial journey alongside Mark.

Throughout their exploration of Schema Markup, Mark and Martha encountered difficulties in implementing it using Microdata or RDFa formats due to their instability. To overcome this challenge, Mark developed a tool, now known as the Schema App Editor. This innovative solution enabled users to generate JSON-LD code by simply filling out a form and conveniently manage it centrally. When Google finally embraced JSON-LD encoded structured data for their rich results, Mark and Martha wholeheartedly committed to focusing exclusively on Schema Markup.

Martha, in particular, finds immense excitement in the AI movement and the disruptive potential of Chat GPT, which is revolutionizing both Google and the marketing industry. Their combined expertise and unwavering dedication have propelled Mark and Martha to the forefront of Schema Markup implementation, driving innovation and empowering businesses to optimize their digital presence.
